IIDA MAC is a community of designers, architects, students, educators and other industry professionals with the common goal of elevating the profession of interior design. We do this through networking, legislative action, continuing education and volunteering. IIDA MAC strives to provide relevant programing and project tours to inspire and educate our members. Professional Interior Designer

you are an interior designer and have passed the NCIDQ exam

you are a full-time instructor, department chair, or adjunct professor in a post-secondary program of interior design at any university or accredited school of interior design

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, $75 is due at the time of application as a first-time member.

  • Costs are by membership type, are due on January 1st of each year, and are good for a full calendar year. Dues are prorated for any time after January.

  • 3 months (March 31st). Afterwards your membership will be revoked & you may need to rejoin as a new member again. If your membership lapsed, it’s not too late to renew your membership online. Please email membership@iida.org and a member services representative will assist you in reinstating your membership. Membership can also be renewed here: https://iida.org/membership

  • An Associate member is one who has a minimum of two-year formal design degree with proof of transcripts or diploma and is not NCIDQ-certified. The incentive is by 6 years of IIDA membership to become NCIDQ-certified.

  • EZ Pay is a payment option that allows you to pay your IIDA membership dues in easy monthly installments. Any IIDA Professional, Associate, Educator, or Industry Individual Member qualifies for EZ Pay. At this time, we cannot accept student or manufacturer / dealer members under this program.

  • Ten CEU hours are required every 2 years to maintain Professional or Associate level membership. The other membership levels do not require CEUs.

  • The current compliance period for Professional and Associate members is January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2023.

  • The current compliance period applies if you became either a *Professional or *Associate Member prior to Jan. 1, 2022. This allows you a full two years to complete the 10 CEU (10) hours requirement, beginning your second year of membership.

    • If you became a Professional or Associate Member before Jan. 1, 2022, your compliance period began Jan. 1, 2022.

    • If you became a Professional or Associate Member after Jan. 1, 2022, your first compliance period will begin Jan. 1, 2024.

    *All Professional and Associate members (active and inactive) including educators, IIDA Fellows, and chapter officers, must adhere to IIDA compliance requirements.
