COSMO COUTURE- October 12, 2011

 

The IIDA MAC Designer Charity Event, Cosmo Couture, is a juried competition and charity benefit in which local design firms partner with industry manufacturers creating high fashion. Our beneficiary will again be My Sister’s Place, Inc.  My Sister’s Place, Inc., the largest and oldest non-profit agency exclusively serving battered women and their children in the District of Columbia.

Last year, we were able to donate $10,000 to My Sister's Place.  THIS YEAR we donated $30,000!

Breaking Boundaries – DESIGN CHANGES EVERYTHIING 
November 2nd, 2011

Breaking Boundaries is roaring back for 2011 with an exciting new concept – DESIGN CHANGES EVERYTHING.

The event will feature a fast-paced series of esteemed presenters from different industries – entertainment, social media, politics, education, technology, and architecture. Each will tell a specific story about the power and impact of great design in his or her life and business. Also planned, a unique breakfast experience, music, and an unexpected new location you’ll be sure to enjoy. As before, this breakthrough IIDA event will be held in Baltimore during Neocon East this November.

SUNSET CRUISE

Enjoy an evening on evening on board a wooden 74-foot schooners for a true sailing experience in Annapolis, Maryland.  Annapolis is "America's Sailing Capital" in the heart of the Chesapeake Bay. Help raise the sails, steer the boat, or simply sit back and relax as "Woodwind" sails from the historic waterfront, past the Naval Academy and cruises into the Chesapeake Bay.

THE PREMIERE

The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Interior Design Association developed this awards program to recognize design excellence, to encourage new ideas and techniques, and to build public awareness in the field of interior design.

This celebration recognizes exceptional design in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
