The IIDA Mid-Atlantic Chapter's Washington Metro City Center Cosmo Couture DC fundraising event will be held on October 8, 2026 from 5pm - 9pm at The National Building Museum.

This year marks the 14th Cosmo Couture event! Cosmo Couture DC fosters a direct collaboration between local Architecture & Interior Design firms and their manufacturing partners in the Washington, DC area to create garments reflecting a given theme. This year's theme is POP! The garments are judged during a runway show and awards are given to design teams in different categories.

About the Theme: POP

This year’s Cosmo Couture theme, POP, is intended to be interpreted broadly and creatively. POP serves as an overarching theme that allows each design team to develop their own unique sub-theme and creative direction.

Similar to past years — such as when teams interpreted the theme Lore through individual concepts like Maleficent — teams are encouraged to define and explore the theme in their own way through storytelling and design.
