Information & Requirements
✓ tHE PLAID PROGRAM IS OPEN TO ALL EMERGING INTERIOR DESIGN PROFESSIONALS WITH 0-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE. ONLY 12 SCHOLARS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
✓ APPLICATION INCLUDE (3) SHORT ANSWER RESPONSE, A SIGNED AGREEMENT FROM FIRM LEADERSHIP, CURRENT RESUME, & (1) LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION.
✓ AN IIDA MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED UPON ACCEPTANCE INTO THE PROGRAM. TWO SCHOLARSHIPS FOR MEMBERSHIP FEES MAY BE AWARD ON A NEED-BASIS.
✓ SESSIONS WILL BE HELD MONTHLY ON THE FIRST FRIDAY OF EACH MONTH FROM 1:30-5PM, WITH A HAPPY HOUR/GROUP ACTIVITY TO FOLLOW. EACH PARTICIPANT WILL BE ALLOWED ONE EXCUSED ABSENCE OVER THE COURSE OF THE PROGRAM.

APPLICATION process
WMCC PLAID enrollment open annually each summer with the first session beginning in October.
The PLAID program runs October through April, with monthly sessions the first Friday of each month.
STEP 1
Learn more about the PLAID program to see if you’re a good fit. The program is open to all emerging interior design professionals with 0-5 years of experience.
STEP 2
Application include (3) short answer response, a signed agreement from firm leadership, current resume, & (1) letter of recommendation.
STEP 3
Send your application over to the VP of Professional Development. After a review period, you'll find out if you've been selected for the PLAID cohort.
