SPEAKERS

Deborah Phelps

is widely recognized as an innovative, energetic, and talented leader and master teacher with more than four decades of teaching and administrator experience. The proud mother of three children and grandmother of six, Ms. Phelps is the Executive Director of The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc. She is a motivational speaker and author that addresses a range of topics related to education, child development, health, and life lessons.

As the Executive Director of The Education Foundation of Baltimore County Public Schools, Inc., a private, non-profit charitable organization under IRS section 501 (c) (3), her transformational leadership role not only helps to navigate funds for innovative programs, scholarships and resources for students and teachers but the establishment of two collaborative educator’s resource centers. A former classroom teacher, school based and district-based leader, Ms. Phelps was eager to tackle a national issue of teachers having a lack of school supplies for their classrooms, Ms. Phelps and team designed two resource centers, The Exchangeree: Gizmos and Gadgets Galore, supporting Baltimore County Public School’s nearly 10,000 teachers and 115,000 students.

Maddie Ivy

received her degree in Photography and Fashion Marketing and Management from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2016. After joining the team at PR Consulting, Maddie began working with high fashion brands like Acne, Brood and Altuzarra to name a few, and she did work on social campaigns at Nylon Magazine plus e-commerce and marketing at Wish ATL. Maddie worked alongside renowned photographer Cam Kirk as the Creative Director of Kirk’s umbrella of brands— Cam Kirk, Cam Kirk Studios and concept store dTour in Atlanta, Georgia. She wielded the responsibilities of spearheading the brands’ overall designs, marketing campaigns, social media strategy, merchandise and brand partnerships to shape their influence.

Maddie has photographed editorials for artists such as St. Beauty Band, Earth Gang, and Yung Baby Tate. She’s had the pleasure of styling the likes of 21 Savage, Soulja Boy, Zaytoven, Lil Durk, Jetson Made, and more. She has partnered across multiple campaigns for big moments with Nike, Adidas, SSENSE, Billionaire Boys Club, G-Star and Red Bull.

Sateria Venable

is the Founder & CEO of The Fibroid Foundation (www.fibroidfoundation.org), a global, patient-founded advocacy organization. 

The Fibroid Foundation develops programming to support its community of over 26,000 women. Sateria began her advocacy efforts in 2007. Since that time, the organization has developed a substantial global network. 

Venable, who holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carnegie Mellon University, has co-authored several scientific papers on fibroid research. She is the inventor of an undergarment inspired by her journey, that she hopes will transform intimate apparel for all women. A sought-after speaker, she has been featured in print and radio media, and has presented at gynecologic conferences worldwide.

 

Robert Ginyard

is an entrepreneur, speaker, and prostate cancer survivor.
Robert is a sought-after speaker, and is a frequent guest on local and national radio and television programs. His products/brand have been featured in Redbook, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Ebony Magazine.Com, The Dr. Nandi Show, Sirius XM.

As a prostate cancer survivor, Robert has appeared before Congress (The Senate Appropriations Committee) to share his prostate cancer story and advocate for increased funding for prostate cancer research. He is the immediate-past Chairman of the Board of Directors of ZERO- The End of Prostate Cancer. Robert was named as one of Cancer Health Magazine’s 2020 Change Makers – making a difference for others living with cancer.     

 

Casey Parker

is a studio director and design manager for Gensler’s Baltimore office.  Casey’s career has included projects across many different practice areas, including corporate interiors, hospitality, Government & Defense and critical facilities.  Casey currently serves as the president of the Baltimore chapter of the Ace Mentor Program, which seeks to provide high school students with a better understanding of architecture, construction and engineering professions with the intent of attracting students to follow these career paths. Casey received his master’s degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech in 2006, and his bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering from Fairmont State University in 2003.  A native of West Virginia, Casey likes to spend his spare time outdoors hiking.
